PE and Sport Premium

Our school receives PE (physical education) and sport premium funding. In the reports below, we have published:

  • the amount of premium received

  • a full breakdown of how it has been spent

  • the impact the school has seen on pupils’ PE, physical activity, and sport participation and attainment

  • how the improvements will be sustainable in the future.

In the report, we have published data on our Year 6 cohort in regard to the national curriculum requirement to:

  • swim competently, confidently, and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres

  • use a range of strokes effectively

  • perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.

Evidencing the impact of the Primary PE and Sport Premium

Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) they offer. This means using the Primary PE and sport premium to:

  • Develop or add to the PESSPA activities that our school already offer

  • Build capacity and capability within our school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.

As recommend by the Department for Education, we have reflected on the impact of our current provision and reviewing the previous spend. We are required to publish details of how we spend this funding as well as on the impact it has on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment by the end of the summer term or by 31st July at the latest.
