Year 5
Monday 13th July 2020
Hello Year Five
This is the last full week of school and home learning. What a term it's been! We have been blown away by how hard you have all worked and how committed you have been to completing the majority of tasks set for you each week. This is not how we wanted to end the year, but we couldn't be more proud.
We have got to know you in ways we never could in the classroom. We've met pets and family members, heard tales of water fights and meet-ups in parks, talked to you in you pyjamas and swimming costumes, listened to you proudly share your work, and watched you grow in confidence and maturity. You have all achieved so much in such a difficult time in your life - you're all fantastic and it has been a pleasure supporting you through the last few months.
We have our final Zooms scheduled for this week, so ask your parents to book you into a meeting. (Tues 1pm or 1.30pm and Thursday 1pm or 1.30pm) As it's our last one, it'd be great to have everyone join, even if you don't want to speak. We won't share work, just have a chat and a chance to say goodbye before the summer holiday. Don't panic if you turn up late or forget to sign up, come along anyway and we'll let you in.
Remember to send your work, questions and messages to year5@whitegroveprimary.co.uk We'll get back to you as soon as we can with a reply.
Keep safe, stay healthy and be happy.
Miss you all. Miss Mackie, Miss Jhanji, Mrs Dorrington and Mrs Parker.

Oracy is a really important part of our school curriculum so we thought it might be nice to give you some ideas to discuss with your family. Each week we will give an idea on the "All year groups" page, here. Take a look, have a discussion and then why not share your thoughts via Twitter, @WhitegrovePS, or on Facebook.
